Hialeah Councilwoman Vivian Casals-Muñoz Joins Dade Medical College Staff
City of Hialeah Councilwoman Vivian Casals-Muñoz is Dade Medical College's new Corporate Director of Community Relations, responsible for building & maintaining relationships with area schools, hospitals, clinics, businesses & other organizations.


MIAMI, FL, January 16, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- City of Hialeah Councilwoman Vivian Casals-Muñoz is Dade Medical College's new Corporate Director of Community Relations. She will be working with Vice President of Community Relations and former Florida State Representative Rene Garcia in building and maintaining relationships with area schools, hospitals, clinics, businesses and other organizations.

Born in Miami and raised in Hialeah, Casals-Muñoz was appointed to the Hialeah City Council in 2006 and was elected to it the following year. She most recently owned and operated a real estate title company in Hialeah, has been active in school PTAs and in the Florida League of Cities as a member of several key committees. She also sat on Miami-Dade County's board of the Educational Excellence School Advisory Council (ESSAC) for 2 years. Vivian is the Board Chair of the Hialeah Chapter of the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life.

She additionally participated in the Miami-Dade County Public Schools Listener Program. Casals-Muñoz, a one-time member of the City of Hialeah's Planning and Zoning Board, is a member and Chair of the Business and Economic Advisory Committee and part of the Historic Preservation Board. Casals-Muñoz is married to Geny Muñoz and is mother to two teenage sons, Christopher and Matthew.
